Jill’s Story

In 1999, I was pregnant and had a three-year-old child at home. I was then told that my fetus had what they call anencephaly. I would be able to carry the fetus to term but would have to have had a C-section. The fetus would have no chance to live more than a day or so. It doesn’t have the ability to cry, it doesn’t have the ability to eat because it has no brain stem. I would sit and watch it gasp for air until the end of its life. The surgery if any complications could’ve put my life at risk while I had a three-year-old sitting home waiting for mommy to come back.

If they reverse Roe versus wade, People who may have my experience would be forced to carry the pregnancy. No one has the right to force a pregnancy to go full-term.
