Welcome to RWB App Support
Here are the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions. If your question is not answered here, email us at app@redwine.blue
The Basics
Why did RWB create an app?
What can I do with the app?
- Find upcoming events
- Connect with our online community
- Watch training videos, access guides, and explainers
- Use Rally to help your friends vote and track your impact
- Get updates about volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved.
- Share powerful content on social media, and so much more!
Will it cost anything to use the RWB app?
Nope! The RWB app is completely free to download and use.
Do I have to leave Facebook to stay involved?
What’s happening to SWEEP?
How can I invite my friends to join the app?
This community grows by word of mouth, one trusted invite at a time. If you’ve got friends who care about making change—they belong here, too.
What’s happening to my RWB state Facebook group?
How do I message someone in the app or have group chats?
Want to message someone—or start a group chat? Here’s how:
To message someone:
-
Tap on the profile of the person you want to message.
-
Tap the “Message” button.
-
Type your message and hit send!
To start a group chat:
-
Go to your Messages and tap the circle with the plus sign.
-
Select the members you want to include in the group chat.
- Tap the upper right hand corner to create your chat.
Managing chats:
-
You can rename your chats.
-
You can archive chats to keep your inbox tidy.
-
Once a group chat is created, you can’t add or remove other people at this time.
-
If you no longer want to be in a chat, you’ll need to remove yourself: tap the three dots in the upper-right corner and select “Exit Conversation.”
-
You can also tap the three dots to view the members of the chat.
Warning: Once a group chat is created, you cannot add or remove people at this time.
Need help or have a question? You can connect and message the Community Managers Sarah Kester or Lisa Reese the same way.
Technical Questions
Is the App safe/secure?
Yes, the RWB app uses best practices and security features to keep your information safe. And we respect your right to privacy and will never share your information without your consent. Here’s a link to our Privacy Policy if you want even more details. We’ve partnered with Disciple, a platform trusted by hundreds of mission-driven organizations, to make sure our community stays safe, secure, and completely in our control.
Will the app work on my phone?
Probably! Here’s what you’ll need:
-
iPhone: iOS 15 or newer
-
iPad: iPadOS 15 or newer
-
Mac with M1 chip: macOS 12 or newer
-
Android: Android 10 or newer (that’s from 2019 — we’re now on Android 15)
If your device can’t update to these versions, no worries — you can still use the app in your web browser. Just head to our website and click “My Account” in the top right corner.
Can I log in using Facebook?

Privacy & Security
Who can see my profile or posts?
Your posts are visible to members of the group you post in—so if you post in a public group like Coast to Coast, everyone in that space can see it. If you post in a private or state-based group, it’s only visible to members of that group.
Does the app track or store my location?
You can tell us your state to help connect you to the right group, but we never use GPS or collect any real-time location data. Your privacy is a priority.
Can I post anonymously or under a display name?
We encourage members to use their real name as their username—it helps build trust within our private community.
Someone is 'following' me, what does that mean?
Just like other social platforms, you can follow people, and people can follow you. Following someone lets you see more of their posts in your feed—and if they follow you, they’ll see more of yours.
Don’t want followers?
There’s no toggle in the app just yet, but we can turn that off for you!
Just email us at app@redwine.blue, and we’ll take care of it.
Will there be moderators in the app like there are on Facebook?
Troubleshooting
Do you have Community Guidelines? How do I report something concerning?
Yes, we have community guidelines—and we take them seriously. You can [read the full guidelines here]. In short: lead with curiosity, treat others with respect, and help us keep this space safe, welcoming, and rooted in our shared values.
If you come across content or behavior that feels harmful, inappropriate, or just off, please report it. But first, if it seems like something might just be a misunderstanding, take a moment to re-read or ask a clarifying question. We all come from different backgrounds and perspectives.
To report:
-
Tap the three dots (…) on the post, comment, or profile
-
Select Report and describe what’s going on—there are no pre-set options, so you can explain in your own words
Our team reviews every report as quickly as possible. While not every report results in removal, each one helps us maintain a respectful and supportive community for everyone.
Can I edit or delete my post after I’ve shared it?
- Tap the three dots (…) on your post
- Choose Edit or Delete
How do I reset my password?
